In this blender 2.82 tutorial, we will be creating a cool abstract scene

This works in Eevee and Cycles but I will be rendering it in Cycles.

Simple yet effective

You will create realistic cement or concrete material, great for many kinds of scenes, including architectural visualization.

The abstract shape may look complicated, but it’s actually quite simple to make.

Basic shape + modifier magic = cool and mysterious shape

We will also be making a simple concrete material procedurally and simple lighting setup.

For the concrete, you can play with the panel size and segments to get it looking your own unique way.

The result is weird and geometric

It almost looks like a modern art installation.

In the end, we will tweak the lighting to make the render pop and look truly impressive – even though it doesn’t take a lot of time to make.

Enjoy!
