Many motion graphics animations use transform and morph effects between different pieces which usually ends up in really impressive results. While Cinema 4D might be the first solution that comes up to your mind when thinking about motion graphics, it is also possible to get this type of effect in Blender, with the help of the Animation Nodes add-on.

This add-on is a node based visual scripting tool that allows you to reach all the information of the objects you’re working with, without having to switch from one menu to another and – most important – without programming knowledge. This can save you a lot of time ! In this Blender video tutorial we will use the morphing effect as a direct application example, and you will discover how to use and connect some of the many many nodes available in this fantastic free add-on. 

You will first work with simple shapes, and then use this principle to work with more complex collections of objects, using loops. Yes, loops as in computer programming loop – but fear not, as not a single line of code will be written I promise! I recommend you to download the work file and follow the tutorial along, but if you feel confident or daring use your own piece of art and share the results!
