Rotoscoping often gets a bad rap because of how time-consuming it can be. In this Blender tutorial video, we break down some tips on how to streamline the rotoscoping process inside Blender. Opening up a whole new world of compositing possibilities.
We’ll start by creating a basic mask around a part of our footage we want to keep, then refine that mask, and animate it to complete the rotoscoping process. We will then utilize the set alpha node to give us a usable piece of masked footage to comp in wherever we want.
